Section 23
Punishment
– A person who commits an offense mentioned in Section 22 shall be punished as follows
(a) Whoever commits an offense under clauses (a) and (b) will be fined from five hundred rupees to five thousand rupees depending on the seriousness of the offence.
(b) Whoever commits an offense under Clause (c), (j), (j), or (t) will be fined from five thousand rupees to ten thousand rupees depending on the seriousness of the offence.
(c) Whoever commits an offense under Clause (d), (e), (f), (g), or (h) will be fined from ten thousand rupees to fifty thousand rupees depending on the seriousness of the offence.
(d) In the course of inspection, testing or treatment, the head of the office can fine the person who violates the order given by the inspector or the head of the office based on the consequences thereof, from five thousand rupees to twenty five thousand rupees.
